At the Sheridan Guest House our aim is to offer you a great start to the day, with real food, prepared freshly every morning using the very best, seasonal, local and organic produce. Our menu is prepared using the finest Scottish produce, locally sourced, from the porridge to the smoked salmon and some of the dishes have a touch of Asian flair thrown in.
On the menu you will find organic eggs from Peebles, Scotch porridge oats, bacon from various local Scottish sources, black pudding from West Lothian, Shetland salmon, potato scones from Bathgate, kippers from the Scottish North Sea waters, local Scottish mushrooms, in season local Scottish fruits, homemade preserves and seasonal herbs grown in our own garden. Rowena also home bakes the biscuits and cookies supplied in your room.
The porridge is served with an Asian touch of spiced stewed apple with vanilla pod, brown sugar, cinnamon bark, cardamom, cloves and juniper berries.
All our food is freshly prepared and cooked for each guest and nothing is preheated or pre-prepared and note that this may sometimes take longer to prepare but you are assured of the freshest of food prepared with care.
